# Basket Contents

**Overview** 

The Basket Contents Dashboard analyzes the composition of transaction baskets, breaking down the diversity of basket contents. It identifies the percentage of baskets with single items, multiple items from the same category, and multiple items across categories. This tool helps brands, producers, and retailers understand customer purchasing behavior and basket complexity. 

 

**Key Metrics Available** 

- **Basket Composition**: 

- - **Single-Item Baskets**: Transactions containing only one item. 

- - **Multi-Item Single Category**: Transactions with multiple items from the same product category. 

- - **Multi-Item Multi-Category**: Transactions with multiple items spanning different product categories. 

- **Trending Basket Metrics**: 

- - **% of Transactions**: Share of baskets categorized as single-item, multi-item single category, or multi-item multi-category. 

- - **Total Basket Size**: Average transaction size segmented by basket type. 

- - **Total Items Per Basket**: Average number of items per basket segmented by basket type. 

- **Basket Category Contents**: 

- - **% of Category Transactions**: Distribution of basket types within each product category (e.g., Flower, Extracts, Vape). 

- - **Basket Size by Category**: Average basket size segmented by product categories and basket composition. 

- **Basket Brand Contents**: 

- - **Brand/Product-Level Drivers**: Identify which brands and products are most commonly included in multi-item and single-item baskets.
